Local Government E-Filing Portal - Terms of Use
Welcome to the Division of Local Government E-Filing Portal.
This website is intended for the use of local governments to electronically file copies of certain documents required by state statute for public information, research, and compliance purposes. Such files are public records and accessible through this system subject to DLG's local government document retention policies. In addition to required local government filings, select documents may also be submitted using the E-Filing Portal to support DLG or Department of Local Affairs' program activities involving local governments.
In order for a local government's staff or officials to file a document, the local government must have an active account and the registered account holder must also be granted the appropriate filing privileges for the document to be submitted. For most local governments, there is a single account holder. The use of and security for the account and associated privileges are the responsibility of the registered account holder as an authorized representative of the governing body of the local government.
Once a document is submitted it can not be modified. BEFORE filing, ensure the document is complete with all requirements for filing included. Incomplete or partial filings may be rejected by DLG Staff with rejection notification provided to the registered account holder.
Account users are responsible for correctly entering all required information.
