Overview:
To provide a range of services and activities having a measurable and potentially major impact on
causes of poverty in the community or those areas of the community where poverty is a particularly
acute problem.
Program Service Area:
Employment, Education, Income Management, Housing, Emergency Services, Nutrition, Linkages with other
Programs, Self Sufficiency, and Health.
Eligibility:
Colorado has 43 eligible entities that receive CSBG funds annually.
Application Process:
Applications are mailed to 43 eligible grantees annually.
Funding Source:
United States Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Community Service.
Other Relevant Information:
Ninety percent of the funds are allocated by formula to 43 grantees. Five percent is for
administration and five percent is reserved for the Governor's discretion.
