State Emergency Operations Center Activated

(DENVER) –Colorado’s State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) / Multi Agency Coordination Center (MACC) was activated at 12:45 p.m. this afternoon to support local efforts in response to the tornado activity in Larimer and Weld Counties.  The Center, operated by Colorado’s Department of Local Affairs, Division of Emergency Management (CDEM), is located in Centennial.  Agencies present to assist are:

Colorado Department Health and Human Services
Colorado Department of Local Affairs
Colorado Department of Natural Resources
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
Colorado Department of Public Safety
Colorado Department of Transportation
Colorado Division of Mental Health
Colorado Division of Fire Safety
Colorado Information Analysis Center
Colorado State Patrol
Colorado Volunteers Active in Disasters
American Red Cross
Federal Emergency Management Agency
Salvation Army

The situation is still unfolding and these agencies are working with the local jurisdictions to determine immediate needs and get resources to the locations damaged by the storms as quickly as possible.

Larimer County 211 has activated to help coordinate volunteer resources and donations.

The Weld County Commissioners have declared an emergency and Governor Ritter declared a State of Emergency in Weld County.
