Family Self-Sufficiency
Families receiving rental assistance are also eligible for the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program. The FSS program helps families reduce their dependency on rental assistance through job training, family counseling, and further education. The goal of the FSS program is to increase a family's income, self-esteem, and vocational skills as well as bring the family into the economic and social mainstream of the community.
