What's “Affordable Housing” in Your Area discusses what families of three making the median income and below can afford in housing all over Colorado. The income level categories are based off of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) calculation of the area’s median income and various percentages below that.

• The Colorado Division of Housing now offers a variety of vacancy and rent surveys:

  Multifamily Vacancy and Rent Surveys

  The “Single-Family” Vacancy and Rent Survey: A survey of four-plex, tri-plex, duplex, condo and single family for-rent homes.

  The Affordable Apartment Vacancy and Rent Survey: A survey of “affordable” apartments.
